FLORIDA-Marian Ruhle Marks, 81, formerly of Saratoga Springs, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Cape Coral, Fla. Born in Saratoga Springs, NY on April 15, 1939, Marian was the daughter of the late Ferris and Ellen Livingston. Marian graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1957 and became an LPN. She worked for over 20 years on the Maternity Unit at Saratoga Hospital. Marian was married to the late Robert Marks and they resided in Sherburne, NY and Benson, Arizona. Marian is survived by her three children: Timothy Ruhle (Mary) of East Greenbush, NY; Thomas Ruhle (Amy) of Melrose, NY; Terri Piotrowicz (Brian) of Lake in the Hills, Ill. She is survived by twelve grandchild­ren and nine great-grandchild­ren. She is survived by her brother Richard Livingston (Lori), several cousins, nieces, nephews and James Ruhle. Besides her parents she is predecease­d by her brother Frederick Livingston. Marian was involved in God’s Bread Project with the United Methodist Church in Smyrna, NY, which distribute­d food to local food pantries. Marian was gifted in knitting, sewing and crafts. Marian knitted hats for newborns in the local hospitals both in New York and Arizona. She also sewed blankets for residents of nursing facilities. Marian shared these skills with her grandchild­ren. She was an active member of the Eastern Star. The family would like to thank Hope Health Hospice of Cape Coral, Florida, especially Libby Olive RN for her support and compassion. They would also like to thank all the staff at Brookdale Santa Barbara Memory Care for Marian’s care and compassion over the last 2 years. In lieu of owers, family is requesting donations in Marian’s honor to Hope Health Hospice at 9270 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, Fla. 33908. A celebratio­n of Marian’s life and graveside services will be held in the spring in Maplewood Cemetery, Saratoga Springs at a date and time to be announced.
