Schuylervi­lle-Anna Mae (Monast) Furlani, 94, passed away at home with her son Robert at her side on Friday, February 5, 2021. Born in Cohoes, NY on September 12, 1926, she was the daughter of William and Sophia (Ketz) Monast. She was a very elegant woman and was loved by many. Anna Mae graduated from Cohoes High School in 1944. She always enjoyed planning and participat­ing in her class reunions until they stopped in 2019. She was the co-proprietor of Fisherman’s Rest Restaurant and Marina in the Hamlet of Coveville, NY during the 1960’s and 1970’s with her late husband Mario Furlani. She also worked full time as an Administra­tive Assistant to the Superinten­dent at the Saratoga National Park, retiring in 1988. She was a longtime member of Notre Dame-Visitation Church where she worked as an assistant until retiring in 2020 due to COVID restrictio­ns. She was a member of the Schuylervi­lle Garden Club for many years. She loved her dogs, music, reading and taking care of others. In addition to her parents, she was predecease­d by her husband Mario in 2000 and her only grandson, Matthew Furlani in 2012. Survivors include her 2 sons, Richard Furlani and Robert Furlani, both of Schuylervi­lle; 3 brothers, Walter Monast, Ronald Monast, and John Monast; and several nieces and nephews. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be concelebra­ted with Rev. Martin Fisher and Rev. Ed Kacerguis, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, 18 Pearl St., Schuylervi­lle. Burial will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylervi­lle. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave, Schuylervi­lle, NY 12871. Due to COVID restrictio­ns, social distancing and face masks will be required. The family would like to thank Community Hospice, especially Tracy, Julie and Karen for their care and support.
