We are pleased to announce the City’s Recreation Department will be offering a modified Summer Camp: Go to www.SaratogaRec.com to learn more and to register.
Due to COVID-19 the Recreation Department is offering a modified Summer Rec program in place of our traditional Camp Saradac. Our Summer Rec program will be a full day program for children ages 5-12. In lieu of our field trips, participants will enjoy inhouse activities such as water games, arts and craft, modified sports, and enrichment programs. The program will be at the Rec Center located at 15 Vanderbilt Ave in Saratoga Springs, NY. Dates are set to be from July 13 to August 14, with weekly registrations welcomed. Hours are from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. $175 a week for City Residents and $240 a week for Non-City Resident
Registration starts June 17. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Online registration is accepted. To receive the City Discount residents must create an account and email recreservations@ saratoga-springs.org proof of residency. Registration in person is not accepted at this time. All registrations can be mailed in to the Recreation Center at 15 Vanderbilt Avenue. Checks shall be made payable to the Commissioner of Finance.
We will be following New York State guidelines for Child Care and Day Camps along with the CDC and local officials guidelines and recommendations with respect to social distancing and capacity limits. Saratoga Recreation & Weibel Avenue Ice Rink: All currently registered programs are canceled.
Online registration for Spring Soccer, Bowling, Rec Talks, and Spring Intro to Ice Skating is still open but we will continue to monitor the situation. Shenendehowa Summer Tennis
Camp 2020: The Shen summer tennis Camp will be offering sessions of tennis instruction for beg-intermediate and high school level players in the following format: 11-17 yrs. Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 9:30 am, High School Morning Session Monday through Thursday, 10:30 am to noon, High School Evening Group Monday through Thursday, 4 pm to 6 pm. Sessions run Monday through Thursday starting on July 29 and going until the week of July 27. Camps will be held at Shen East Tennis courts.

Air Assault Passing Academyheld at La Salle Institute Football Stadium: Running July 13-16 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, the camp is open to players entering grades 7-12. Cost is $80.00. This is a no contact camp. Focusing on the fundamentals of the passing game. More information can be found at www.audinocamps.com. John Audino Youth Football Camp-held at La Salle Institute Football Stadium: Running July 20-24 from 6:30 to 9 pm, this camp is open to all position players entering grades 3-6.

ValleyCats Coaching Clinic set for March 16: The Tri-City ValleyCats have announced that their Coaching Clinic scheduled for March 16 has been postponed to a later date.
Instruction will be led by Ryan Cameron, Joe Mahoney, and Garett Baron.
The clinic will focus on teaching youth coaches ways to run more fun and interactive practices. It will also showcase new practice equipment and highlight drills for proper conditioning.

Hockey Hut Online Training: We hope everyone is staying safe during this trying time. In Keeping with the standards set by our government, our current programming is on hold. Hockey Hut Mites Mania:
Power-skating and skill development will be the main focus of this camp. A great camp for young players to further develop their skills and have fun. From June 29th to July 2nd at the Hockey Hut from 7:45 am to noon for ages 6U to 8U. Register at myhockeyhut.com.
Hockey Hut stickhandling camp: This is a progressive program to teach players to play with their heads up. It will help advance their puck control and the speed at which they handle the puck. From July 6th to July 9th at the Hockey Hut from 7:45 am to 4 pm. Register at myhockeyhut.com.
Hockey Hut Shooting Camp:
This camp will teach players how to properly shoot the puck. Players will be working on the wrist shot, the snap shot, shooting to score, and driving their feet to the net. From July 13th to July 16th at the Hockey Hut from

Hockey Hut Bantam Transition Camp: Players will receive instruction on how to properly check and receive body contact in a controlled environment. Players will gain the skills necessary to transition to the bantam level. From July 20th to July

Our programs are open to all beginners, novice, and advanced skilled players in grades K through 10 throughout the Capital District at a fraction of the cost of other local programs. Our staff includes some of the finest past and present coaches in the Capital District. Our summer lineup includes: Tuesday evening lacrosse programs, July 7– August 4; Day camps, 9 am to noon on July 6 through 10, and July 13 through17; Night camp is 6 pm to 8 pm August 3 –7.
In each of our programs we will have the following age and skill levels: A 5 – 9 grade advanced skills Coach Corner; A 5 -10 grade novice skill program; A 5 - 10 grade beginner skill program; A 2 - 4 grade full equipment program for all levels of players; A co-ed grades k – 5 non-contact learn to play program.
