Adirondack Trust Co. donates $1,750 to Saratoga PLAN
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. » The Adirondack Trust Company recently announced a donation of $1,750 to Saratoga PLAN as part of its annual ATC Credit Card Donation.
Once per year, the independent, locally owned and operated, community bank donates a percentage of the interest earned on credit-card balances to a local, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The organization is selected as part of the ATC survey that is sent out annually and chosen by ATC credit-card customers.
“For more than two decades, we’ve made an annual contribution to a local nonprofit organization through our credit-card donation program,” said Adirondack Trust president and CEO Charles V. Wait, Jr. said in a press release. “This year, we are so proud to donate to the Saratoga PLAN, which is dedicated to preserving land and nature.”
Saratoga PLAN, which stands for “preserving land and nature,” connects people to nature through an extensive trail network with more than 200 miles of trails in the county. It is a community-based conservation organization, focusing on conserving places for people.
The recent ATC Credit Card Donation will help further its mission of protecting land for all.
“Saratoga PLAN is extremely grateful for this generous donation from the Adirondack Trust Company. We will put it to good use conserving fertile farmland, protecting woods and waters and wildlife habitats, partnering with towns protect their natural resources, and creating safe and welcoming outdoor spaces for the public to enjoy,” Saratoga PLAN executive director Maria Trabka said in the release. “The bank’s credit card users have shown their love for the land and their appreciation for the benefits of outdoor spaces, which have become even more important to people’s lives during the pandemic, where they can go with family and friends to exercise, breathe, unwind, rejuvenate, and immerse in nature.”
