THOMAS F. TOTTEN JR.

Saratoga Springs, NY- Thomas F. Totten Jr., 91, passed away on Saturday April 24, 2021 at The Pines in Glens Falls.

Born in Saratoga Springs, NY on May 17, 1929, he was the son of the late, Thomas F. and Margaret (Murphy) Totten Sr. Thomas attended St. Peter’s Academy in the class of 1947, as well as being a member of the Drum Corps. In 1996, Thomas married the love of his life, Elberta (Dodd) LaBarge and the two spent twenty two loving years together until her passing in 2018.

Thomas was a communicant of the Church of St. Peter in Saratoga Springs where he served as an usher. He would drive to Saratoga Springs every Sunday for mass after moving to Malta. Tom was self-employed for most of his working career owning his own shop, Saratoga Hobbies as well as a television repair service. His passions included photography, HAM radios and remote control planes. He also had a green thumb which he inherited from his great grandfather who owned Totten Florists, in Saratoga Springs.

Survivors include his sister, Margaret Totten C.S.J. as well as two nieces and one nephew. In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas was predeceased by his siblings, Patricia Totten, John Totten and Marie Savard.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday May 5, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following visitation at the historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
