NORMALEE STEELE

-

Saratoga Springs, NY Early morning on April 13, 2021 this beautiful lady was called home to be with the Lord. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She had fought the good ght for many years against several health issues, though she never complained. She was the glue that held our family together. The following days, months and years we will profoundly feel our loss. The only thing that will get us through this pain is the knowledge that when she opened her eyes in heaven that morning she saw Jesus’ face. Anyone who knew her loved her and she was a friend to everyone she met.

Normalee was born in Easton, NY to Cora Mae (Hammond) Ross and Reginald Fenton Ross. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School Class of 1960 and later attended LPN school in Virginia. After that she moved back to New York, received her Associate Degree from ACC and worked for 40+ years as registered nurse. She was very proud of being in The Who’s Who of Nursing during her career. She retired in 2006 from Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa, NY as a Supervisor.

She is predeceased by her parents, Richard Paul Johnson (husband) and Earl F. Ross (brother).

She is survived by her husband Virgil M. Steele. Children; SG R. Johnson, Evonne M. Steele and Steven D. Steele. Grandchildren; Erica Lee (Johnson) Hieber (Seth), Shane D. Steele, Angelina J. Steele, Kai R. Johnson, Anthony Coon and Juliana (Coon) Meyers (Johnathan). Sisters Donna Lynn (Ross) Privett and Dora Ann (Ross) McCormick. Brothers Wayne Ross (Kathy), Bruce Ross (Janet), Leon Ross (Lydia), Neil Ross (Edna) and Eric Ross (Helen) also many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The family will have a private graveside service date to be determined.
