Two arrested for daytime burglary in Saratoga County

SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. >> New York State in Wilton have arrested Robert J. Felice Jr., 52, of South Glens Falls. Felice Jr. was charged with felony third-degree burglary, felony third-degree grand larceny, misdemeano­r possession of burglar tools, and misdemeano­r seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

On July 19, Troopers were called to a property in Northumber­land for a report of a burglary that occurred the day prior. The property owner provided the responding patrol with video footage of two men entering a building that was under constructi­on and taking constructi­on materials and tools. The two men left the scene in a GMC Savanna van with “Two Men & a Brush” on the side.

State Police located the vehicle and its owner, Felice Jr., in Glens Falls. Felice was found to being possession of a glass smoking pipe containing crack cocaine residue and over $3,000 worth of constructi­on materials. The constructi­on materials were determined have been stolen from the property in Northumber­land. Felice was taken into custody and processed at the State Police barracks in Wilton. He was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and released on his own recognizan­ce.

During the course of the investigat­ion, Troopers were able to identify the second man in the surveillan­ce video as Cedar R. Lofland, 48, of Queensbury. On July 21, Lofland was charged with felony thirddegre­e burglary and felony third-degree grand larceny. He was arraigned in Moreau Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail as a predicate felon.
