TURNING POINT PARADE: The 26th Annual Turning Point Parade will be held in the Village of Schuylerville on Sunday, August 1. This summer spectacular, considered to be one of the best parades in the area, was cancelled last year due to the pandemic. This year’s parade promises to return with all the elements of a good old-fashioned parade. Please join us and help celebrate our triumphant return. Stepping-off time is 1:00 PM. The theme — Family Farming — Planting Our Future — pays tribute to the many family farms that operate in Saratoga County and throughout the area up and down the Hudson Valley. Many of these farms have been in existence for generations, some going back to General Schuyler and the American Revolution. Agriculture has been a leader of the county/state economies for decades. For additional information and for last minute changes, please check our website — www.turningpointparade.com. Welcome to Schuylerville and enjoy the parade!

The Baroness Frederika Riedesel (as portrayed by Debbie Bailey) will greet visitors and tell the story of how she with her three children endured bombardment at the Marshall House during the American siege during the Battles of Saratoga in 1777. Docents will explain details of the historic house. Visitors will be limited to groups of fifteen in 45 minute sessions at 2:30, 3:15, 4:00 and 4:45. There will be valet parking at the house.
