Chick-fil-A is coming to the Capital Region, with three area restaurants set to open in 2023.

The first area Chick-fil-A, slated to open this spring/summer in Greene County, will be in the New York State Thruway — New Baltimore Travel Plaza, followed by Chick-fil-A Clifton Park Center at 304 Clifton Park Center Road in Clifton Park and Chick-fil-A North Greenbush at 502 N. Greenbush Road in North Greenbush, both slated to open this summer/fall, according to Chick-fil-A, Inc.

“It’s our pleasure to confirm that we will be opening several restaurants in the Capital Region,” Chick-fil-A, Inc. said in a statement.

Beyond this trio of restaurants, the company is also looking at a fourth Capital Region location in Latham. “While we are still early in the process, Chick-fil-A is happy to share that we are actively pursuing our first location in Latham, on Troy-Schenectady Road and I-87,” the statement said. “We look forward to working through the approval process with the Town and are excited by the prospect of joining this community. We hope to have the opportunity to serve new guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”

The popular chain is best known for its chicken, which is seasoned, breaded and pressure cooked in 100% refined peanut oil.

The brand boasts serving customers great-tasting food made with quality ingredients. The produce used in recipes is delivered to kitchens up to six times a week, and Chick-fil-A chicken is raised with no antibiotics, starting from the egg.

The new Saratoga County and Rensselaer County restaurants will both feature a dual-lane drive-thru model focused on expediting and elevating the experience for guests with innovation, speed and hospitality. Team members will greet customers in the drive-thru line in-person and will take each guest’s orders on a tablet.

As one team member walks the line taking orders, another will come to the customer’s car to take payment, allowing vehicles to move through more quickly than they do at a traditional speaker box drive-thru.

Chick-fil-A restaurants are run by local franchise owner/operators who live and work in the community in which their restaurants are located, and are highly involved in the day-to-day operations, as most only oversee one location, the company said.

Each new restaurant will create approximately 80 to 120 jobs for their local communities. The company said Chick-fil-A restaurant team members

enjoy flexible work hours and leadership growth opportunities, competitive wages and benefits, handson training and mentoring and the chance to apply for scholarships to support their continuing education.

To support the local communities, and in celebration of the Chick-fil-A Clifton Park Center and Chick-fil-A North Greenbush openings, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 on behalf of each new restaurant to Feeding America, totaling $50,000 that will be directed to support partners in the greater Albany-Schenectady-Troy area to aid in the fight against hunger.
