Traffic stop leads to the arrest of three
The New York State Police recently arrested three area residents on drug charges following a traffic stop.
Police arrested Fantasia L. Jabot, 27, of Queensbury, for three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle; Vincent R. Potter Jr., 22, of Queensbury, for three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle; and Caitlin M. Pruess, 30, of Glens Falls, for second-degree criminal impersonation, three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle, resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, and on a warrant for false impersonation.
According to police, Troopers stopped a vehicle on Corinth Road in Queensbury, for multiple traffic infractions. The investigation determined the vehicle had been taken from Glens Falls, without permission from the owner. The driver provided false identifying information but was later identified as Pruess. Pruess had multiple outstanding warrants, one of which was for False Impersonation issued by the Lake George Town Court. According to police, while being taken into custody, Pruess resisted and attempted to flee unsuccessfully. Multiple glass smoking devices and Controlled Substances were located within the vehicle. Jabot and Potter Jr. were passengers in the vehicle and were taken into custody. Potter Jr. was also found to possess an illegal weapon. All parties were transported to State Police barracks in Queensbury for processing. Jabot and Potter Jr. were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Queensbury Town Court and released. Pruess was transported to the Warren County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
