When Ralph Ramsey was diagnosed with Parkinson’ s Disease in 2004, he and his wife, Marla, decided an update to the master bathroom in their lake home was needed to needed make to it more ake handicapit more handicap accessible. They made also the decision to remove all carpet from the downstairs bedroom and the upstairs spaces. The couple reached out to The Floor Store to see what their options were.

Ralph and Marla built the house in 2003 and describe its style as “eclectic southern comfort .”

“Our home is our fun place ,” said Marla .“( We) enjoy being able to see the lake from every room. We love entertaining friends and family .”

Because they have indoor dogs, grandchildren and frequent visitors, the decision to replace the carpet with tile and vinyl was an easy one.

The house was built with hardwood flooring in the main living area, but because that particular type of flooring is no longer available, they opted for a wood-looking tile to replace the carpet in the down stairs bedrooms. For the upstairs flooring they chose the engineered luxury vinyl plank store place the carpets.

Upon hiring The Floor Store for the job, Marla said they had three requests :1. Be there when you say you will ,2. Cleanup afterwards, and 3. Make it look good.

“Everything looks so clean and is so easy to keep ,” Marla said, adding that its style is now“very casual, suitable for comfortable lake living .”

“We were more than pleased with the workers and results ,” she said .“The new flooring is great and suits our casual lifestyle. The master bath is so nice and much safer than before. We love it all.”
