ON THE COVER

On the cover this month is 5-year-old Adelie Smith. Adelie was born with a ventricular septal defect (VSD), a hole between the bottom two chambers of her heart. She was chosen as the featured survivor for the 2018 Hot Springs Heart Ball, set for Feb. 24 in Horner Hall at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
