St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Scores of people crowded into every nook and cranny around 98-foot-long Bridge Street to celebrate the First Ever 16th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17. This year, the parade featured “Karate Kid” actor Ralph Macchio as celebrity grand marshal and dancer Stephen Laurel “tWitch” Boss as the official starter. A new twist to this year’s festivities was a wedding ceremony officiated over by Parade King Scott McClard just before the parade began. Parade-goers also enjoyed performances by the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, the Diamond Dance Company, and many other floats and walking groups in the parade.
