Hospice of Central Arkansas supports Hospice Promise

-

Hospice of Central Arkansas has announced its participation in The Hospice Promise Foundation — a nonprofit initiative designed to assist local and regional hospice patients and families struggling with essential non-hospice- related expenses.

Hospice of Central Arkansas is part of LHC Group, a national provider of post- acute care services. LHC Group established The Hospice Promise Foundation to help hospice patients with expenses they are unable to afford on their own. Donors can request that their gift be earmarked for local hospice patients.

News of a terminal illness is shocking and painful for patients and their families, and is accompanied by unforeseen bills and expenses. Donations to The Hospice Promise Foundation will help assist hospice patients with expenses such as rent and utility bills, emergency repairs, personal care items and food assistance. The foundation also provides funding for patients’ last wishes, burial assistance and community projects like bereavement camps for children and educational outreach programs for end- of- life care.

“With The Hospice Promise Foundation, caring and concerned people everywhere can help fulfill the mission to provide care and support for hospice patients,” said Rexanne Domico, The Hospice Promise Foundation Board president. “Concerned citizens can make a difference in the lives of those entrusted to hospice care — helping ensure they spend their final days in the peace and comfort of home surrounded by the people they love.”

The foundation is governed by an independent board and monitored by an outside law firm. One hundred percent of donations collected are used to support hospice patients. For further information or to donate to the fund, contact Hospice of Central Arkansas directly.
