TV chef to speak at supper club
The 6 p. m. Monday Vegetarian Supper Club will feature Mark Anthony, a TV chef and inspirational speaker. He has appeared on ABC, NBC, ESPN and appears nightly on 3ABN worldwide television. His program, featuring plantbased nutrition, will include a free dinner and presentation: “Cooking at its Funnest.” It will offer realistic ideas for weight loss, lowering cholesterol and increasing energy, while saving money in the process. Anthony’s creative approach includes unique treats, such as watermelon sculptures and hand paintings.
Anthony has presented his free healthful cooking shows in every state in the continental U. S. While catering as one of the youngest executive chefs in Las Vegas, at the age of 24, he catered events in excess of 10,000 people, including celebrity stars. During the past few years, he has personally lost 80 pounds, lowered his cholesterol from 263 to 118, and is no longer on the diabetic short list. He offers his program seeking to motivate the community to move away from processed food and chemicals. The supper club meets at Hot Springs Seventh- day Adventist fellowship hall, 401 Weston Road. All who are interested in a healthful vegetarian lifestyle are welcome. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted to help with supplies and travel expenses for the speaker. Attendees need not bring a potluck dish this time, since even the meal will be provided by the speaker. Seating for this event may be limited, so attendees are advised to come early.
