GC Library’s Art Wall features original pastels

-

The Art Wall at the Garland County Library will feature a collection of pastels by local artist Neal Vinyard during the month of August.

The Hot Springs Village resident has displayed his work throughout the area, and works by inspiration and commission within a variety of subjects, including children, adults, pets and landscapes.

Vinyard is a retired cattleman from southwest Missouri, who began his art career with instruction in portraits and landscapes at National Park College just 10 years ago. The scope and skill of his work has exceeded the short time he has been a practicing artist.

The library features original art by local artists and art groups each month on its Art Wall. Exhibits are presented in collaboration with the nonprofit Emergent Arts, which fosters creativity among emerging artists by providing creative experiences and accessible art classes to all ages and abilities.

The Art Wall is available for viewing during regular business hours of 9 a. m. to 5: 30 p. m. Monday, Friday and Saturday; 9 a. m. to 8 p. m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and 12: 30- 5: 30 p. m. Sunday at the library, 1427 Malvern Ave.
