Computer Club help desk available

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Drop- in Help Desk of the Computer Club of Hot Springs Village will be open to answer any computer- related questions at 1 p. m. Thursday at the Village Church of Christ, 210 Balboa Drive.

Membership in the computer club is not required to visit the free workshop.

The club’s August general meeting will be held at 6: 30 p. m. Aug. 26 at Coronado Community Center. The program will feature a demonstrat­ion of the new Windows 10, a preview of Office 2016, and an introducti­on to the schedule of classes for the coming year.

The meeting will be preceded by a help desk for computer questions and a social at 6 p. m. Membership is not required to attend.

Twi- night tourney starts on Thursday

The Hot Springs Village Tennis Associatio­n will hold a twi- night tournament Thursday through Sunday at Coronado Tennis Center, 151 Ponderosa Lane.

‘ Young Frankenste­in’ auditions scheduled

Auditions for “Young Frankenste­in: The Musical” will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday and 7 p. m. Monday at Woodlands Auditorium.

Music for the principal roles is available on the HSV Players website. To audition for a role in the chorus, bring Broadway- type music and wear leather- sole shoes or dancing shoes. Use the auditorium’s stage door to enter the auditions.

Free Rhythm Jam scheduled for Sunday

A free Rhythm Jam will be held at 1 p. m. Sunday in Grove Park, 1105 DeSoto Blvd.

The jams provide an opportunit­y for musicians, singers, and listeners to gather and share various genres of music, musical instrument­s, and the history behind the music. The jams are open to all ages, skill levels and instrument­s that are non- amplified. Musicians should bring a chair and copies of music to share.

HSV church to hold Game Day Monday

Crystal Chimes Chorus will sponsor a Game Day from 1- 4 p. m. Monday at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, 700 Balearic Road.

The cost is $ 5 per person, with snacks and drinks provided. Participan­ts should bring their own games.
