- FROM STAFF REPORTS

A man was injured Friday morning after reportedly falling from a second-story window ledge in the 800 block of Central Avenue, according to a Hot Springs police news release.

The victim, identified as Jacob Hannah, 27, who lists a Benton address, was transported by LifeNet to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Around 10:40 a.m., HSPD of-

ficers responded to the area of Regions Bank, 302 Malvern Ave., after employees reported seeing a man, later identified as Hannah, who seemed disoriented. The employees said they had found Hannah sleeping in the bank’s parking lot and woke him up. They offered him some water but he ran away from them and was “acting erratically,” the release states.

About four minutes later, as officers were arriving, they were notified a man had fallen from a rooftop in the 800 block of Central. The officers located Hannah on the sidewalk in front of Freedom United Salon, 831 Central.

A witness stated he saw Hannah attempting to walk along a second-story window ledge when he slipped and fell to the sidewalk, 20 to 25 feet below.
