DEPUTY INJURED

A Garland County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a two-vehicle collision at the Garland County Detention Center, 3564 Albert Pike Road, on Saturday. Lt. Scott Miser of Piney Fire Department said Deputy Butch Tosh was turning left into the center when his vehicle was struck by a silver Dodge Durango that was westbound on Albert Pike shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday. LifeNet, Piney, the sheriff’s department and Arkansas State Police responded to the scene. Tosh sustained non life-threatening injuries to the head and was transported to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs.
