LH announces AP scholars

PEARCY — Lake Hamilton High School has announced its Advanced Placement scholars after students took exams in 16 different courses in May.

The students include one College Board National AP Scholar and 29 College Board AP Scholars.

Andrew Larey was the school’s National AP Scholar, which is a student who received an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or better on eight or more exams. Larey graduated in May as the class salutatori­an and received an Honors College Fellowship from the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le.

AP Scholars with Distinctio­n are students who received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or better on fiver or more exams. Students to earn the distinctio­n were Larey, Eli Henson, Luka Ivandic, Amanda Larson and Aubrey Miller.

The school’s AP Scholars with Honor were Nick Amerson, Kaitlyn Moody and Drew Overton. The distinctio­n is awarded to students who received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or better on four or more exams.

AP Scholars are students who received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. Students to earn the distinctio­n included Tyler Brown, Kizer Calhoun, Madison Capps, Gavin Collins, Shelby Farmer, Grayson Furr, Emma Gimenez, Bethany Gottfried, Parker Knapp, London Martin, Jackson Mcgee, Jessica Perry, Emma Styers, Michael Tucker, Hunter Usdrowski, Max Vargo, Kami Ward, Travis Williams, Cassidy Favorite, Reese Petersen and Cade Toennis.
