Veronica M. Bostic

-

Verona Maxine Bostic (Goodwin) was born April 10, 1956, in Little Rock. She was a charge nurse at Arkansas State Hospital, where she had a heart, and even a calling, to care for her patients. She was a long time member of Second Baptist Church.

Verona was preceded in death by her father, Arthur P. Goodwin.

Survivors include: her daughter, Sarah Bostic; her mother, Jean Goodwin; her sisters, Julia Goodwin and Kathy Goodwin; and her niece, Rachel Goodwin.

Verona took great delight in simple things. She particularly enjoyed feeding the geese at the neighborhood pond, and searching for four-leaf clovers (and she found a lot of them.) She faithfully helped care for her mother during her health problems. She was also a friend of Bill W. Her favorite hymn was “The Unclouded Day” and now she gets to enjoy an eternal unclouded day of peace and an end to pain.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Royal, Arkansas.
