Local author awarded

Hot Springs resident Joseph Swink is one of 20 people awarded in a North American writing competition by Neoglyphic Entertainment for his short story, “Call Me Home.”

Swink attends National Park College and hopes to write professionally. He writes narratives involving whimsical, flighty subject matters realized through grounded, down-toearth imagery, characters and settings.

More than 4,000 original entries were submitted and judged by a series of peer readers, publishing industry experts and machine learning technology.
