Hats Galore at Living Waters

The Living Waters Church of God in Christ World Mission Department will present Hats Galore, honoring first lady Cora L. Withers, at 3 p.m. Sunday at 306 Grove St. The guest speaker will be first lady An- nie Babb, of Deliveranc­e Temple Institute COGIC, Malvern.

Models can wear their Sunday best, fur hats, casual or their favorite hats. First, second and third prizes will be awarded. Registrati­on for men, women and children will start at 2:30 p.m. The event’s goal is to sponsor Withers’ trip to COGIC National Women’s Convention.

Epiphany Concert at First Presbyteri­an

The Chancel Choir of First Presbyteri­an Church, in conjunctio­n with the Muses Creative Artistry Project, ASMSA Choir, community singers and musicians from Henderson State University, will present an Epiphany Concert at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary of First Presbyteri­an Church, 213 Whittingto­n Ave.

As Epiphany celebrates the Light of God that has come into the world, the concert will feature familiar melodies that tell the story of Jesus’ birth and reflect on the experience­s of all who witnessed the event.

Lupus Foundation preps for Praise and Raise

The Lupus Foundation of Arkansas Inc is preparing for the annual Praise and Raise Lupus Gospel Concert to be held at 6 p.m. April 22 in the First Lutheran Church Life Center. Co-hosts for this lupus fundraiser are First Lutheran Church and Church of the Open Door. The Gospel Sons, from Amory, Miss., will be a part of this event.
