Tickets available for DPGC dinner fundraiser
A candidate forum and St. Patrick’s Day celebration will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Democratic
Party of Garland County Headquarters,

Ave. In lieu of the regular meeting, this will meeting will be catered by Sam’s Southern Eatery with catfish, chicken, and all the fixins’.
Attendees will hear re- marks from candidates Rep. John Michael Gray and Denise Garner for chair of the Democratic Party of Arkansas. This is one of our four mini-fundraisers throughout the year. Tickets are $15 with advance purchase by Friday, available at the headquarters. For more information, call 624-0300.
Gray is serving his second term in the Arkansas House of Representatives. He represents District 47, which includes portions of Jackson, Woodruff, White and Independence counties. He serves as the minority leader for the House.
Garner, a retired oncology nurse practitioner, has worked with health, education, policy, arts, and social welfare organizations and understands the need for social justice policy. She founded Feed Communities, a hunger relief, nutrition education and sustainable food systems advocacy nonprofit.
AARP driver safety class at McAuley Senior Center
An AARP Smart Driver course will be sponsored by CHI St. Vincent McAuley Senior Center, 5010 Highway 7 north, at 8:30 a.m. March 16. Qualified graduates are eligible for an auto insurance discount.
There is a $15 fee for AARP members and $20 fee for nonmembers to cover course materials. Bring your driver’s license and, if applicable, AARP membership card. Call 9845594 to enroll.
