Parolee arrested on multiple charges after home check

A parolee was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeano­r charges Wednesday morning after Hot Springs Village Police conducting a routine probation/ parole home check allegedly found guns and drugs.

Way, was taken into custody at her residence shortly before 11 a.m. and charged with felony counts of simultaneo­us possession of drugs and firearms, punishable by up to life in prison, four counts of possession of drug parapherna­lia, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by certain persons, each punishable by up to six years, and three misdemeano­r counts of third-degree endangerin­g the welfare of a minor.

Price remained in custody Thursday on zero bond and is set to appear April 10 in Garland County District Court.

According to the affidavit, HSV police detectives went to Price’s residence to do a warrantles­s search per the terms of her parole and at the residence they made contact with Price and three other people.

A search of the residence was conducted and in Price’s room detectives allegedly located two firearms, including a loaded

.40-caliber pistol, both of which came back clear, but as a convicted felon Price is banned from owning or possessing firearms.

Also in her bedroom the officers reportedly located 5.5 grams of marijuana in a glass jar, a marijuana blunt and a large smoking bong. In the room of Price’s

14-year-old daughter they reportedly found a marijuana pipe with residue. In the bedroom of Price’s other children, ages 10 and 7, they reportedly found a methamphet­amine pipe.

In the kitchen, above the stove, officers reportedly found another small meth pipe and a small plastic baggie with white residue that tested positive for meth.
