Congressma­n set to visit Woodlands

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman, R-District 4, will be present in Hot Springs Village for a “Coffee with your Congressma­n” event at 8 a.m. April 12 in Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 DeSoto Blvd.

This will be an opportunit­y for constituen­ts to speak directly with Westerman about the issues facing the Fourth District.

Coffee will be provided free of charge, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Coronado Library receives computers

The Coronado Center Library, 150 Ponderosa Lane, has received a gift from the Friends of the Coronado Center Library of two new computers for public use.

The computers are now installed and working.

Community Fair slated Wednesday

The 11th biennial Community Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Coronado Community Center, 150 Ponderosa Lane.

The event’s theme is “Hot Springs Village: It’s a Paradise,” and attendees will be able to get informatio­n from clubs, organizati­ons and churches in the HSV area.

This is a free event, and all are welcome to participat­e.

POA organizes Iron Springs hike

The Hot Springs Village Property Owners Associatio­n is organizing a morning hike on the Iron Springs Hunt Loop Trail.

Participan­ts will meet at 8:15 a.m. April 8 at the Iron Springs Recreation Area, 4 miles north of Jessievill­e on Highway 7 north.

This hike is rated easy to moderate, with one steep rocky incline at the start. The route is at least 4.3 miles, along with the 2-mile loop to Moonshine Shelter.

It is recommende­d that hikers bring snacks and water.
