Next Morning Connection to showcase spring fashion

-

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The next Hot Springs Village Morning Connection meeting will feature a spring fashion show presented by Valley Rose Boutique’s Sheila Pratt, and an inspirational address from guest speaker Dee Vincent.

Registration will begin at 9:15 a.m. April 19, followed by the program from 9:30-11 a.m. in Diamante Golf Club, 2000 Country Club Drive. Attendees will also be able to enjoy a breakfast buffet.

The style show will display the latest spring fashions, highlighting clothing simple enough to wear every day, yet unique enough to excite the imagination of today’s woman. This 2017 collection celebrates a casual lifestyle, and is filled with easygoing and comfortable natural fibers, designed for women from all walks of life.

Valley Rose Boutique offers a combination of the very latest in fabulous fashion must-haves, a chic yet comfortable atmosphere, and a helpful, knowledgeable staff. These combine to make each trip to Valley Rose an unforgettable shopping experience that any fashionista will adore, a release said.

Pratt and her husband opened Valley Rose Boutique in April 2016, with the help of Jackie and Ron Moore. Pratt fulfilled a lifelong dream of opening her own boutique after many years of retail experience. The boutique will soon be expanding, during a move 12 doors down in the shopping center located at 3925 Highway 7 North, Suite F.

Vincent, a resident of Hot Springs Village, will speak on “Looking in the Rear View Mirror,” which reflects on God’s faithfulness through the struggles she encountered with her Air Force husband who was transferred many times.

A native of Missouri, Vincent never dreamed of living in Arkansas. But after residing in several states, their Texas friends introduced them to the Village, and the golf courses beckoned them to retire to the community.

Living in many cities and attending churches at each location, Vincent and her husband have always been deeply involved. She has served as director of education and in women’s ministry, as Sunday school teacher, and within music departments. She once had the privilege to be in the backup choir for Larnelle Harris. In Hot Springs Village, she has served with Stonecroft for 12 years, and is now the Bible Study coordinator at Balboa Baptist Church.

An avid golfer and bowler, Vincent also learned pickleball in Arizona, and introduced it to Hot Springs Village in 2006. She is still an ambassador for the popular sport, but retired from management after seven years.

Before retiring as a national sales director in the automobile industry, she enjoyed attending the Grand Prix of Long Beach and Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, in addition to driving a race car herself.

Vincent says God has always been in control of her life, blessing her with a great husband, a son, daughter, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

HSV Morning Connection requires no membership or dues, and all women in the area are welcome to attend for a cost of $15.
