Charles D. Hill Jr.

Charles David “C.J.” Hill Jr., age 32, of Hot Springs, faced his untimely death on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.

He was born Aug. 19, 1984, in Hot Springs, to Charles D. and Minnie Brown Hill Sr. He was a graduate of Hot Springs High School Class of 2003. He recently received a degree in Heating and Air. He was employed with Daniel’s Heating and Air. In his younger years, he was a member of Union Baptist Church. C.J. was baptized at New Direction Christian Church in Memphis, Tenn. He was attending New Faith Christian Ministries. He loved basketball and was kind and was respectful to all that he met.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.C. Brown, Irene Holt, James Earl Hill, and a host of extended family.

Survivors include his mother, Minnie Brown; his father and stepmother, Charles “Chuck” (Anita) Hill; his son, Cayden Hill and his mother, Candace Early; sisters, Ashley Hill, Tacarra Hill and Jamesa (William) Buchanan; grandmother, Colitel Brown; a host of aunts and uncles including, Angela Holt, Angela Maxwell, Willis Duvall; his special uncle and aunts (bonus parents), Glen and Claudia Brown.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent Ave., with the Rev. Douglas E. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at the church.
