Host LH teams poised to score highly in meet

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

Lake Hamilton, the host team, has the leading qualifier in several events at the Class 6A track championships Thursday at Wolf Stadium.

Sophomore Haze Farmer is second in the state in the boys’ pole vault with a spring best of 16-2 from last week’s 6A-West meet at Greenwood. Classmate Michael Harris is the second-leading 6A qualifier at 15-6. Springdale Har-Ber senior Zach McWhorter cleared 17 feet at the Class 7A-West meet last week.
