- MAX BRYAN

A Hot Springs man was arrested Thursday after allegedly attacking his girlfriend and evading arrest twice.

Michael Ronald Huss, 46, of 1115 Rock

Creek Road, was taken into custody at his residence shortly after

4 p.m. and charged with third-degree domestic battery, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail. He remained in custody Friday in lieu of zero bond and is set to appear in Garland County District Court on June 5.

According to the affidavit, at around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Garland County sheriff’s Cpl. Jeremy Simpson and deputies J.T. Dodge and

Roy Elliott received a battery call with the actor possibly still on scene at Huss’ place of residence.

When deputies arrived, the vic- tim said she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, later identified as Huss. She said Huss had struck her in the face and then pushed her against a dresser and choked her.

The victim said she managed to get away from Huss, run next door and call 911. Huss was not at the residence at the time of the deputies’ arrival.

The deputies noted red marks and scratches on the victim’s face. After taking a report for third-degree domestic battery, the deputies went back in service.

A short time later, the victim called again and said Huss had been hiding in the attic and was back on scene. Huss fled again before the deputies could arrive.

Around 4 p.m., the victim called a third time. Dodge arrived on the scene and located Huss in the front yard of the residence and took him into custody without further incident.
