Smith named Airport Wine & Spirits manager

Wine & Spirits,
1210 Airport Rd., has named Ariel
Smith as its new store manager.
Smith is a native of Lake
Village, Ark. and graduated from the University of West Alabama with a master’s in Counseling Psychology.
She has been a community volunteer for years, helping with organizations such as the Special Olympics, teaching Vacation Bible School, organizing community beautification projects, and being a t-ball coach.
Smith is a former member of the Heritage Club, a women’s community service club in Lake Village, for which she has also served as president.
She pursued her love for sports and working with children by becoming director of Lake Village’s Parks & Recreation Department, where she wore many hats including management, public relations, event coordination, marketing, and working with grants.
After 10 years managing the department, Smith retired and moved to Hot Springs where she became involved in the world of horse racing. She has owned several horses and has become involved in horse breeding.
Smith made the decision to rejoin the workforce and put her managerial skills to use at Airport Wine & Spirits.

Real Estate office as a local Real Estate agent. Maddox grew up in the
Hot Springs area and has recently moved back from Houston, Texas to continue his Real Estate career. He has experience throughout the Real Estate industry representing buyers, sellers and investors with foreclosed properties, bank acquisitions, and residential home sales.

Barger has 30 years of experience in personal trust and probate administration, investment management, forensic accounting and estate/ financial planning for high net worth clients and their families. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration, double major: Accounting and Finance, Southern Arkansas University. She is also a Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA).
Barger is a past member of the Hot Springs Downtown Rotary Club, chairing both scholarship and program committees, and past board member of Downtown Merchants Association, Women’s Chamber, and Garland County CASA. She currently volunteers her time with Habitat for Humanity and Garland County United Way.
