Hanging on to freedom

-

Dear editor,

Just as religion struggles to survive the factual world of evolution, so does humanity now struggle to hang on to its idea of freedom. The objective, factual business world that is moving forward threatens both the religious world of spirituality and humans as valued free life-forms.

You may be aware of all the data and statistics that show how many life are forms becoming extinct. This is because humans have taken over the planet and are now molding it as they see fit.

One of the most important unifiers of the intelligent world was the creation of money and the written word. With writing, history became possible. With the written word, laws, power and possession became a tangible, on paper, matter of fact. But never forget …. words, religion and money were created out of our imagination. They are only valuable because we agree they are.

I am disturbed by those who see life and the world only as a commodity. The major economic world powers, that are largely in control, see life as a business venture. But think on this. Just as non human animals have been selectively preserved because they are valued as a work or food source or as pets, so too are human animals now beginning to be seen. The future shows people and jobs being replaced by intelligent automation. It has already started and will continue.

Yes, this business world that we have made all powerful, sees life as a profit system. And that world has become more and more dependent on the information network. Profit is the all important bottom line. Big Business, Wall Street and the Banks, depend on algorithmic intelligence to decide how to best move forward to continue making that profit. Automation and algorithmic intelligence are the future.

And if people would take note as to how, much of, the food industry cruelly manipulates its products, they may get a picture of how the rest of us, work products, may be treated in the future. The next step for mankind is some form of manipulation to fit into this new world that is being created. For as humans continue to become less and less necessary for business success, they too will be selectively discarded and have to fend for themselves, just as with the other unneeded animals which are becoming extinct. A select world of elite is in charge making decisions which insures their profits in the future.

Here’s what is coming. … When the choice becomes between a diverse, shared, conscious based world or an exclusive, information based world, guess which the controlling elite business world sees as being more important? Bill Wiedmann Hot Springs
