MOUNTAIN PINE—Stephen LaCaze, age 70, of Mountain Pine, died Friday, May 19, 2017.

PRESCOTT— Annie “Maude” Hinton, 82, of Prescott passed away in Hot Springs, Saturday, May 20, 2017, after her battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s.

Mrs. Hinton was born July

31, 1934, in Dallas County, Ark., to G.P. and Gracie Mae Delamar Ratcliff.

She was a retired caterer, a member of Central Baptist Church of Prescott. She loved her family and grandchild­ren very much. She was a generous, giving and loving sweet soul. She prided herself in her ability to feed her family and those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister in law Sue Ratcliff; husband Herbie Hinton; and two stepdaught­ers Regina and Lynn Hinton.

Left with all those precious memories are her two daughters: Becky Hooker (Ronnie), of Hot Springs, Grace Ann Leamons (Duane), of Arkadelphi­a; one son Blake McKinnon, of Prescott; step-son Bubba Hinton (Amy), of Memphis, Tenn.; brother John Ratcliff, of Prescott; eight grandchild­ren; eleven great grandchild­ren; and the many lives that she touched over the years.

Visitation for Mrs. Hinton will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 22,

2017, at Pharr Funeral Home in Prescott.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Pharr Funeral Home with Bro. Neal-Ridling officiatin­g, with interment to follow in Delamar Cemetery in Dallas County, Ark. Under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arkansas Hospice for their excellent compassion­ate care shown to Mrs. Hinton during her battle.

Meathol Holt Loy Martin, age 85, of Bismarck, passed away May 20, 2017. She was born April 14, 1932, the daughter of Hollis and Nettie Herrin Holt.

Meathol is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Sherman “Red” Loy; her second husband Robert Martin; one brother Cecil Holt; and one sister Jean Coffman. She is survived by two daughters, Becky (Paul) Steier, of Bismarck, and Peggy (Joe) Allen, of Bonnerdale; four grandchild­ren, Rhonda Jacobs, Scott (Jennifer) Allen, Brandon Steier and Lauren Steier; three great-grandchild­ren; Macy, Madison and Jace; one great-great grandchild, Liam; step children, Jean (Charles) Baker and Barbara (Roy) Slaughter, of Arkadelphi­a; Pat (Garvis) Hughes, of Donaldson, and Don (Linda) Martin, of Friendship; fifteen step grandchild­ren; twenty-eight step great-grandchild­ren, and two step great-great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphi­a. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with bro. Kenneth Bray officiatin­g. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Jimmye L. B. Smith

GLENWOOD— Jimmye Lou Blakney Smith, age 75, of Glenwood, died Friday, May 19, 2017.

She was born April 11, 1942, in DeQueen, the daughter of James Warner Blakney and Mabel Lurene Humphrey Blakney. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 36 years, Gordon A. Smith.

Survivors include four brothers, Gary Blakney, of Little Rock, P. M. “Mike” Blakney, of Bismarck, Rob Blakney, of Red Oak, Texas, and Glenn Blakney, of Winslow; two sisters, Cynthia Davis, of Cabot, and Joyce Austin, of Winslow, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Rob Blakney officiatin­g.

Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

TEXARKANA— Juanita Opal (Nita) Smith, 40, of New York, passed away on Tuesday, May 16,

2017, in New York. She was a 1994 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School; graduated with highest honors from the University of Texas, Austin; attended the Fashion Institute in New York; received multiple certificat­es from Sorbonne University in Paris; was a musician and artist and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority; worked in the psychiatri­c research department at UCLA and was a volunteer at Christus St. Michael Health System.

She was preceded in death by her father, William T. (Bill) Smith, Jr.; and cousin CPO (SOC) SEAL Adam Lee Brown.

She is survived by her mother, Susie Smith; one brother, Trace Smith; nieces and nephews, Will Smith, Jacob Smith, Bryce Smith, Jacklynn Smith and Kennadie Smith, Braylie Jo Durmon, and Jaycee Pettigrew; cousins Shawn and Tina Brown, Manda and Jeremy Atkinson, Crystal Smith, Adam and Jamie Smith, Jill and Micheal Marchese, Sarah and Matt Foster, Christin DeVoss, Michele and Tim Kimball, Michael Edwards, Kenneth and Betty Geurin, Jack Geurin, and Linda Parker; and special family friends, Amanda Guier, Anna Brown, Elizabeth Kirk, and Stacie Olivella.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23,

2017, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, in Oak Grove Cemetery, Royal, with Adam Smith officiatin­g. After the graveside memorial, everyone is invited to join the family at the While We’re Waiting Refuge, located at 1685 S. Moore Rd, Hot Springs for food and fellowship.

Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

6, 1939, in Malvern, the son of Robert and Dovia Lester Walters Sr.

Survivors sons, Donald Evans (Pam), of Ceres, Calif., and Jamie Walters of Malvern; daughters, Dovia Chandler (Mark), of Hot Springs, Shaunda Lusinger (Jacob), of Malvern, Dale Whitehead (Johnny), of North Little Rock, and Sharon Myers of Malvern; siblings John Walters (Liz), Janice Stanley; fourteen grandchild­ren, Kayla, Kelley, Brittany, Dexter, Branden, Nathan, Lena, Michael, Nikki, Shawn, Stacey, Ashley, Bruce, and Waylon.
