Haley M. Goodman

Haley Marie Goodman, 13, of Hot Springs, was granted her angel wings on May 20, 2017, following a seven-month battle with leukemia. Her perseverance, strength and courage were an example to friends and family who gathered to lift her in prayer and love during her final hours. Every moment with their precious, beautiful girl was a lesson that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to make memories.

With Haley’s passing, we remind others that her life is to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, she will live forever in our hearts. She taught all those who were lucky enough to know her about the power of prayer, the strength of dreams and the importance of every moment.

Haley loved the color pink, collected stuffed animals and dreamed of going to Paris. She was born on June 9, 2003, to Atrese Leann Ellis and William Scott Goodman, a beaming beauty of a baby whose laugh lit up rooms.

Haley will be waiting in Heaven to greet her parents; stepfather, Randy Ray Wallace; stepmother, Tammy May Sobczak; siblings, Tiffany Renee Goodman, Jamie Lee Sobczak, Christian Michael Goodman and Jeffery Allen Sakosko; grandparents, Teres Alice Echols, Carol Ann Schwan and Hans Schwan; and many more extended family members. She will be remembered by the faculty and her many friends at Lakeside School.

“Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.”

Haley’s love extended to her many wonderful caregivers, nurses and team at Children’s Hospital, especially to Dr. Farrar, who holds a special place in all our hearts for his continual dedication and care. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Haley with love and dignity in her life and also in her last moments.
