Informatio­n updated on fitness classes

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Coronado Fitness Center will take part in National Senior Health Day on Sunday by providing a variety of sample classes from

1-5 p.m., including boxing, yoga and water activities.

Both members and non-members of the center are welcome to take part.

Though these classes are free, non-members will still be required to pay the daily entry fee.

The center will not have any classes on Monday, in observance of Memorial Day. Hours of operation that day will be from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Detour routes set for DeSoto

The Hot Springs Village Public Works Street Division will close DeSoto Boulevard between the two Saldana intersecti­ons during the week of June 5 for roadway maintenanc­e.

Primary detour routes to avoid this section will be Ponce de Leon North for passenger vehicles, and Ponce de Leon South for commercial truck traffic.

Residents should expect the road closure to last five days. Drivers are reminded to pay close attention to traffic control signs.

Muses present Broadway night

The Muses Creative Artistry Project will once again bring the magic and vibrancy of live, profession­al musical theater to Hot Springs Village with a Broadway show set for 7 p.m. June 2 in Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 DeSoto Blvd.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

This cabaret-style concert will include 90 minutes of exhilarati­ng music, thrilling dance numbers, and a sensationa­l band that will have the audience tapping their toes.

Green Market open weekly

The annual Green Market will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursdays through the end of October at Grove Park, 1105 DeSoto Blvd.

Grove Park is carved out of the forest and features spaces for vendors, picnic tables and an entertainm­ent area, all in a woodland setting.

The Green Market is open to any Arkansas vendor, including farmers and artisans.

All arts and crafts must be juried into the market, and an applicatio­n can be requested by sending an email to vmettler@ hsvpoa.org.
