For more than two decades, Security Bank has been and continues to be the longest-serving mortgage company in Hot Springs. Located in the same location since it opened, Security Bank is proud of its history and heritage.
At the end of World War II, Security Bank opened its doors on April 1, 1946, in Stephens, Ark., as the only bank in U.S. history to start from a $5,000 GI loan. With four generations of leadership, Security Bank carries on this pioneer spirit and tradition.
“My great-grandfather, grandfather and father were and are the cornerstones of building Security Bank,” said Buck Smith, president of Security Bank. “With their vision, they each contributed in several different capacities and positions to make us the strong, and solid financial institution we are today.”

They support area schools and participate in events to promote Hot Springs and the community. Security Bank is a member of the Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village Chambers of Commerce.
