The Gear Factory

-

They say you always come back to Hot Springs. That’s what Todd Murray, his wife, Darbi, and their daughter, Edie, did in 2003. The Murrays own The Gear Factory — a screen printing and embroidery shop in Pearcy that opened in 2015.

Murray was born in Hot Springs but moved to Houston when he was 12. He discovered in high school that his talent for art could translate into a career. After an enlistment in the U.S. Air Force, where Todd met Darbi, they settled back in Houston and he began his career in the graphic arts and printing industry. “I was so lucky to work with some of the best in the business in Houston. They had so much to teach and I soaked it up like a sponge,” he said.

After several years in Houston, Todd was recruited by a large company in Dallas as a graphic designer. Eventually he found his dream job as production manager at a very successful family owned printing company in Arlington working for clients like American Airlines and Six Flags.

“The owners impressed upon all of us the importance of quality work and customer service. That’s what I impress upon my employees. That’s what I want The Gear Factory to be known for.”

The Gear Factory, located at 137 Adam Brown Road, in Pearcy, offers everything from custom designed screen printed T-shirts to and embroidered apparel, bags and hats. If you’ve got a team, a staff or a club you want to outfit, The Gear Factory can help. To reach Todd or Darbi, call them at 501-701-4636 or find them on the internet at www.GearFactoryInc.com.
