Smokin’ in Style BBQ , 2278 Albert Pike, serves award-winning, Memphis-style barbecue to its customers.
Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed Monday.
Smokin’ in Style has Memphis-style dry rub barbecue ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, stuffed baked potatoes, barbecue salads, nachos, quesadillas, U.S. farm-raised catfish, baked beans, French fries, coleslaw, baked potato salad and its ever-infamous homemade banana pudding.
Hand-patted cheeseburgers are also a popular menu item, along with smoked ham sandwiches. The barbecue act is also taken on the road with a 42-foot mobile concession and catering trailer. Smokin’ in Style does arts and crafts shows, music festivals and other miscellaneous events.
Smokin’ in Style can cater to any size, from one to 1,500 people. We also cater picnics, golf tournaments and family reunions. We also have a 100-seat banquet facility that has audio and video capabilities that can be used for anything from a Christmas party to company seminars.
The Johnson brothers manage and keep Smokin’ in Style running efficiently.
The business came about due to barbecue competitions that turned out great winning results. From this, we went into the concession side of business that grew from six shows per year with one trailer to 25 weekends a year with two trailers, and with the growth of the number of weekend shows, we decided it was time to go into the restaurant business.
