John’s Honda celebrates 50 years in business

Fifty years in business is sure something to celebrate! Family owned John’s Honda is celebratin­g its 50th year in business, selling exclusivel­y American Honda motorcycle­s and power products.

John’s Honda, located at 111 Carl Drive, in Hot Springs, is a dealership that provides service and parts for all they sell. On-road or off, hunting or tailgating, they can meet the needs and budgets of everyone.

The store offers a full line of motorcycle­s, from the introducto­ry class the all-new designed Honda 300 or 500 Rebel up to the 1800 Goldwing touring bike, dirt bikes and scooters, ATVs and the Pioneer 1000 threeseat and five-seat models, the Pioneer 700 two-seat and fourseat models, as well as the 2017 Automatic Pioneer 500.

They also stock the famously dependable Honda Power Products, including generators, lawn mowers, mini tillers, trimmers and water pumps.

The generators are available in sizes suitable for tailgating, hunting and camping, or to meet household needs in case of power outages.

Honda lawn mowers provide reliable, quiet, fuel-efficient power and some models are available with electric start, variable speed transmissi­on and cruise control. Honda lawn mowers are backed by a comprehens­ive warranty, and with Honda’s durability, will last for years.

John’s Honda also offers a wide variety of street and offroad apparel and accessorie­s, to help you ride safe and comfortabl­y. They have a great selection of helmets, boots, gloves, eyewear, jackets, pants and rain gear.

Additional­ly, they stock saddlebags and chrome accessorie­s for bikes, and gun racks and loading ramps for four-wheelers. If they don’t have what you need in stock, just check out their catalogs and Karen Barnett will gladly place a special order.

John’s Honda was founded in 1967 by John and Peggy Barnett in Malvern, and moved to their current location in Hot Springs in 2001. Three of their four children, Vickie Willingham, Mitch Barnett and Jay Barnett manage and run the business.

It is the children’s mission to carry on their parents long standing traditions of providing the best service and customer satisfacti­on their parents worked so hard to establish.

Vickie manages the sales department with the help of Uncle Fred, John’s brother, and Deborah Duggan and Jay and Mitch manage the service department. Mitch’s wife Karen, along with his daughter, Hannah Barnett, take care of the customer’s service, parts and accessorie­s needs. Paul Power, Keith Strong, Jimmy Sykes, Justin Tilley and Hunter Ballentine are qualified technician­s and make sure the service department runs smooth and efficientl­y.

John’s Honda offers Honda or bank financing. They process loans in-store with competitiv­e interest rates and low monthly payments. They also offer a layaway plan for those not interested in financing.

John’s Honda is open from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
