A Hot Springs woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly fired a .45-caliber gun in the “general direction” of another person, before shocking them with a “stun gun.”

Nicoy Kerr-Ann Lingardburke, 18, who lists a Sterling Circle address, was taken into custody around

1 p.m. Friday and charged with a felony count of aggravated assault, punishable by up to six years in prison. She remained in custody Monday in lieu of $2,500 bond and is set to appear June 19 in Garland County District Court.

According to the affidavit, Garland County sheriff’s deputies responded to Penn Street in reference to shots fired.

The victim told the deputies that she had made contact with a woman, later identified as Lingardburke, who she suspected of vandalizing her car. Lingardburke came to the Penn Street residence in her vehicle, reportedly waving around a gun and saying she was going to shoot the victim.

A witness said he stepped between Lingardburke and the victim, attempting to de-escalate the situation. A juvenile male passenger inside of Lingardburke’s vehicle attempted to pull her back inside the vehicle when she pulled away from him and fired a single shot in the victim’s “general direction.”

The victim stated she and the witness both approached the vehicle following the gunshot, and a brief physical altercation occurred. During the struggle, Lingardburke allegedly used a “stun gun” on the victim and then fled the scene in her vehicle.

Sgt. John Schroeder spotted the suspect’s vehicle on Thornton Ferry and conducted a traffic stop at the south entrance of Harps Food Store. Investigator Brandon Huckaba and Lt. David Wolf arrived on scene to assist Schroeder.

Lingardburke was located in the front passenger seat with a loaded .45-caliber Beretta under her seat. The ammunition inside the gun allegedly matched a .45-shell casing found at the scene. A “stun gun” was also found in the front seat, on and ready for use.
