OWENSVILLE — Donald Lee Tillery, 73, of Owensville, passed away June 8, 2017.

He was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Astoria, Ore., to the late Bus and Chick Tillery.

He is also predecease­d by his beloved daughter, LaDonna Tillery; nephew, Darren Lynch; brother, Harold Tillery; and special best pal friends, Yella and Hemorrhoid.

Donnie was a retired captain of the Hot Springs Fire Department, owner of T&T Trucking, a member of Owensville Baptist Church and a 1962 graduate of Fountain Lake High School. He had many interests, including farming, growing vegetables, cooking and eating. Donnie especially enjoyed going to deer and fishing camps with his buddies, where he was designated camp cook. He was a very colorful, humorous guy who enjoyed pulling pranks and jokes on everyone! In his younger years, Donnie enjoyed and was involved in race/demolition derby cars. His most important hobby was loving and cooking for grand and great-grandchild­ren.

Donnie will be deeply missed by the many whose lives he has touched.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Cathy Ann (Jones) Tillery; son, Richard Tillery, of Owensville; sister, Linda Lynch (Emil), of Hot Springs; grandchild­ren, Amanda Nance (Jonathan), Kristen Seamon, Scott and Cheryl Tillery; great-grandchild­ren, Carley, Tyler and Austin Seamon; and special friend, Paul “Poopsie Pie” Hamilton.

A celebratio­n of life ceremony for Donald will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday with service beginning at 6 p.m. at CaruthHale Funeral Home with Allen Tillery and Eddie Creighton officiatin­g. A Last Call program will be conducted by the Hot Springs Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bank of the Ozarks Account in Donald’s name.
