Beverly Anne Boyd-Pierce was born on Aug. 15, 1949, in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Lillian Boyd Orr and Eddie James Lewis.

Beverly attended Union Baptist Church after moving to Hot Springs. She was a graduate of Englewood High School. After she graduated from high school, she studied Medical Terminolog­y at META Business College and then became a Certified Bank Teller. She worked and retired from a Currency Exchange in Chicago, Ill.

Beverly married the late Raymond Nathaniel Pierce Sr.

Beverly was called home at 8 a.m. June 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by both mothers, Lillian Boyd-Orr and Mary Francis Crawford, both fathers, Eddie James Lewis and Willie Crawford.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her daughter, La’Tanya Pierce-Kennedy (Rickey, deceased); sons, Raymond N. Pierce Jr. and Willie La’Quinn Pierce (Maria); her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren; sisters, Vanessa (Anthony) Leonard and La’Quilla Davis; god-sister, Jeanette Johnson; brothers, Robert and Bruce; a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017, in the chapel of Carrigan Memorial. Cremation will follow the service.
