Margaret worked at Montgomery Ward in women’s fashions and retired from the store in 1981. In 1975, their son, Harvey, moved with his family to Arkansas. She moved to Garrett Woods Independent Living and was there until her sudden death.
Margaret was a lifelong committed follower of Jesus Christ. Bible reading and praying were her daily habits. Thomas O. Fletcher III
Thomas “Tommy” Orr Fletcher III, of Hot Springs.
“You are reading in the newspaper that I am dead. Do not believe a word of it. For I am more alive than ever before.” D.L. Moody.
I am now in my new home in Heaven with my Lord and Savior. I have a new body and the sick one is gone.
This past Tuesday, June 20,
2017, I became reunited with my parents, Thomas O. Fletcher Jr. and Keturah Neely Fletcher; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Henry Sadler; Larry Kresse and a host of family and friends.
I have lived 75 wonderful years and blessed beyond belief with my loving family. My wife Jill, my best friend and Godly woman. My son Steve (Sandi), a man I am very proud to call my son. My daughter Sherri Blunk (Philip), who has always been my little princess. I’m blessed to have the Godliest daughter I know. My sons by choice, Roger Garvin (Kathy), so proud of the man he is, he keeps my secretary Jill up on the latest technology and gets her out of binds. Christopher Garvin, always there if we needed him, always kept my car fixing skill honed. Ryan Garvin, my fishing and hunting buddy and a great athlete. My sister Margaret Kresse, who kept me laughing all the time. My brother Paul (Joanie), brothers till the end. My grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Christopher and Chelsie Fletcher and their son, Hays Thomas, Austin Blunk, Brannon Blunk, Eden Blunk, Christopher Tripp Garvin, Danny and Monica Nelson and their daughter, Annabelle. Steven Thomas Stringer; a host of nieces, nephews to say that Uncle T was the best! A big happy family.
I was born in Marion, Ark., and grew up in Pine Bluff and graduated 1960 Zebra class. I proudly served four years in the Marine Corps. I began my lifelong career with AP&L as a hydraulic mechanic, from which I retired in 1998. My passion for slow pitch softball won my team the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest game played in 1977 at 52 hours and
5 minutes. I was an avid hunter and fisherman. I was part of the original owners of the Pile Brothers Sporting Club, whom I leave many cherished friends. I love you guys.
Thank you, my family, church family and many friends for blessing my life as all of you have. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Son, that whosever believes in Him shall never perish but have everlasting life.” Take this into your heart and receive God’s Salvation gift. It is so easy. This is only a temporary separation if Jesus is in your heart. Till we meet again. God bless.

Valerie Schuetz, 78, of Hot Springs, passed peacefully on June 20, 2017.
She was born in Anina, Romania, on Nov. 27, 1938, to the late Johann and Theresia Chladny.
Valerie was a member of the German Edelweiss Club and was a phenomenal dancer. She especially enjoyed German folk dancing (particularly the Polka) and ballroom dancing.
The one thing Valerie loved above all else was her family, especially her granddaughters. They will forever have memories of spending fun-filled days with her and receiving giant care packages in the mail for every holiday. Valerie would shop year round to ensure they always had perfect gifts.
All five of her granddaughters knew she would be there for every event in their lives. She never missed a school graduation or program, birthday or any other event. She wanted her girls to know that she loved, supported and would always be there for them.

Schuetz; her daughters and best friends, Heidi Epperson (Jim), Linda Smith (Scott); and her five granddaughters, Emma Roberts, Sophie Roberts, Sarah Smith, Caroline Epperson and Kate Smith.
