U.S. Air Force Airman Matthew A. Hortman, a 2016 graduate of Lake Hamilton High School, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Hortman completed an intensive, eightweek program that included training in military discipline and studies,

Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Those who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hortman is the son of Julie D. Hortman of Mesquite, Texas.

• U.S. Air Force Airman Tyler Harmon, the son of Micheal Harmon and grandson of Ken and Nellie Harmon of Hot Springs, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Harmon completed an intensive, eightweek program that included training in military discipline and studies,

He is a 2015 graduate of Lakeside High School.

• U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Beau H. Cantrell, the son of Clinton and Joy Cantrell, and brother of Adam Cantrell of Hot Springs, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
