HOLLIS — Annis J. Moore Humphreys, of Hollis, born Aug. 20, 1932, to Roy L. and Cora Moore, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

Ann lived on a farm most of her life beginning in Deberry, and continuing in Hollis, after she married Gene Humphreys on Aug. 18, 1950.

She is predecease­d by her parents; three sisters; and one brother.

She leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Gene Humphreys; son, Darrel Humphreys (Joan); daughter, Peggy H. Stanley (Larry); granddaugh­ter, Stacey H. Reynolds (Joe); grandsons, Clay Stanley, Marc Stanley; great-grandson, Grayson Faught; bonus grandchild­ren, Tori Faught Renk (Brian), Brady Bean, and Justin Bean (Ashley); as well as numerous nieces and nephews that she loved.

Ann was lovingly called Granny Ann and was known to spoil her grandchild­ren with delicious homemade buttermilk biscuits and gravy, plus large meals with multiple side dishes and her favorite desserts.

Pallbearer­s will be Herbert Jones, Richard Davis, Geary Waddle, Clay Stanley, Marc Stanley, and Grayson Faught.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Brian Faught and her many friends and church family.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today at Caruth Village Funeral Home.

A celebratio­n of Ann’s life will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Hollis Pentecosta­l Church with Bro. Rick Humphreys officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at Hawk Cemetery in Hollis.
