Com­modi­ties dis­tri­bu­tion Wed­nes­day, Thurs­day

The Com­mu­nity Ser­vices Of­fice Inc. will pro­vide com­mod­ity dis­tri­bu­tion at the Boys & Girls Club of Hot Springs from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. Wed­nes­day and 8-10 a.m. Thurs­day.

Par­tic­i­pants must meet in­come guide­lines and have Gar­land County ID, and should bring a large box for food.

Blood drives planned to­day, next week­end

Arkansas Blood In­sti­tute will con­duct blood drives at the fol­low­ing lo­ca­tions and times dur­ing the week:

• To­day — Noon to 4 p.m., Cen­ter Fork Bap­tist Church Fel­low­ship Hall, 1101 S. Moore Road.

• Fri­day — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Arkansas EMT As­so­ci­a­tion, Hot Springs Con­ven­tion Cen­ter.

• Satur­day — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Arkansas EMT As­so­ci­a­tion, Hot Springs Con­ven­tion Cen­ter.

• Sun­day, Aug. 6 — 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Lake Val­ley Com­mu­nity Church class­room, 910 Shady Grove Road.

All donors will re­ceive a ticket to the Lit­tle Rock Zoo, a Zoo shirt, Donor Re­ward Points, free health screen­ing, re­fresh­ments, learn their blood type, and be en­tered into a draw­ing for an iPad at each blood drive. All blood do­na­tions sup­port the two lo­cal acute-care hos­pi­tals. Do­nat­ing takes about 45 min­utes.

Donors must be at least 16 years old and have a photo ID. For an ap­point­ment or more in­for­ma­tion, call Bob Woodall at 501-282-6072. Walk-ins are wel­come.
