Harvey Joe Bailey – beloved husband to his sweetheart of

62 years, Eva. He was a cherished father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who lived every day in service for the Lord.

Joe never met a stranger and was a living witness to everyone that crossed his path. Always greeting folks with a big smile and a warm hug. “The Candy Man” always had a kind word or funny joke to share along with a temptation of a piece of candy for everyone, especially the members of Pearcy Baptist Church.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter whose goal was never to simply catch or kill, but rather to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation and fellowship with his friends and family. You would never see Joe without his thermos or cup of coffee in his hand. Even in 100 degree weather he’d say that it cooled him off by pushing all the heat out of his body. The amazing stories of the great adventures of the life and times of Harvey Jocephus Alphonzo Jackson Bailey will forever be his legacy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eva Bailey of Pearcy; two daughters and one son-in-law, Terri and Willard Morrison of Malvern and Sherri Tan of Carrollton, Ga.; four grandchildren, Holly and Dustin Bosley, of Friendship, Matthew and Rachael Morrison, of Rogersville, Mo., Mandy Morrison and Jesse Morrison, both of Malvern; four great-grandchildren, Michael Bosley, Lilli Bosley, Isaac Bosley and Levi Bosley, all of Friendship; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois “Tootsie” and Kenneth Harris of Royal; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
