CADC enrolls students for preschool
The Central Arkansas Development Council is now enrolling early head start, head start and Arkansas Better chance preschool for the 2017-18 school year.
Children are eligible as soon as they turn 3 years old. The CADC offers free prekindergarten programs, school readiness, screenings and family services.
The CADC is a nonprofit community action agency and a United Way agency. The mission of the CADC is to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty, to help vulnerable populations achieve their potential and to build strong communities in Arkansas through community action, improve the quality of life and build strong communities in Arkansas.
Enrollment is available at each center. Families can call the CADC head start office at
501-332-5426.
The Amity Head Start Center is located at 213 N. Clark St. and can be reached at 870-3425358. Lora Ingram is the site supervisor.
The Arkadelphia Head Start Center is located at 301 N. 23rd St. and can be reached at 870246-8931. The center director of Shana Gentry.
The Bismarck Head Start Center is located at 2078 Arlie Moore Road and can be reached at 501-865-1882. The site supervisor is Patricia Mishoe.
The Glenwood Head Start Center’s location is 747 Lakeshore Drive and can be reached at 870-356-4780. Lorie Ledbetter is the site supervisor.
The Magnet Cove Head Start Center is located at 21977 Highway 51 and can be reached at
501-332-6906. The site supervisor is Samantha Crow.
The Malvern Head Start Center’s location is 1735 Sullenberger Ave. and can be reached at 501-337-1502. Annetta Summerville is the center director.
The Mount Ida Head Start Center is located at 156 Senior Drive and can be reached at 870867-3722. The site supervisor is Sara Cureton.
The CADC also has offices in Benton, Delight, Gurdon, Haskell, Murfreesboro and Shannon Hills.
