Computer Club slates schedule

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Computer Club of Hot Springs Village will have the following free help sessions during the upcoming week. All will meet in the Village Church of Christ, 210 Balboa Road, and club membership is not required to attend.

On Tuesday, the Mobile Devices Help Group will meet at 1 p.m. Following at 2 p.m., there will be a drop-in help session for any computer related issues.

On Wednesday, the Microsoft Windows and Office Suite special interest group will meet from 1-3 p.m. to answer questions about those Microsoft products.

The monthly breakfast social for computer aficionado­s will take place from 8-9:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at Debra’s Good Eats, 198 Carmona Road. All are welcome and membership is not required for this casual meeting.

In addition, the club has opened registrati­on for its fall classes. More informatio­n can be found online at www.cchsv.org. If a desired class is full, hopeful students should still register and will be placed on a priority list for the next offering of that course.

August hours set for Tennis Center

With a lack of players utilizing the courts during the heat of the day, the Coronado Tennis Center will have alternate hours through the remainder of August.

Except for event days, hours will be:

• Mondays: 8 a.m. to noon, and

4-8 p.m.

• Tuesdays: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Wednesdays: 8 a.m. to noon, and 4-8 p.m.

• Thursdays: 8 a.m. to noon, and 4-8 p.m.

• Fridays: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Saturdays: 8 a.m. to noon.

• Sundays: Noon to 8 p.m.

Woodlands hosts concert today

The Everly Brothers Experience, presented by the Zmed Brothers will take to the stage at 7:30 p.m. today in Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 DeSoto Blvd.

This duo brings a genuine and youthful Everly Brothers experience, bridging the gap between country and rhythm & blues, creating a new form of rock-and-roll.

The Zmed brothers will perform timeless classics like “Cathy’s Clown,” “Bird Dog,” “Till I Kissed You,” “Let It Be Me” and “Devoted To You.”

Tickets are $25, and can be purchased at the Woodlands box office.

Chamber to present Hats Off to Women

The Hot Springs Village Area Chamber of Commerce will present its second annual Hats Off to Women Celebratio­n from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 26 in the Coronado Community Center, 150 Ponderosa Lane.

Attendees can enjoy a style show, champagne brunch, and vendor booths. Door prizes will also be given away.

This year’s guest speaker will be Holly Fish, and the master of ceremonies will be Ken Goodman.

A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit Safe Haven Shelter for Women and Children.

Tickets are $30 each, or a table for eight can be purchased for $225.
