‘Thanks’ for Mrs. Gibson Dear editor:

As the co-chairs of the Eagle Parent Involvement Committee, we have been asked by a group of Cutter Morning Star parents to express how grateful we are to have Jann Gibson as our principal at CMS Elementary. With a new school year fast approaching, they began by letting us know how excited their children were to start the school year back. They give credit to Mrs. Gibson for this.

One parent said, “She is compassionate and has a deep love of the children.” Another parent adds, “She is a visionary, not afraid to try new things for our school.” Several parents agreed she is simply different and has made a huge impact on the elementary school. A parent of a second-grader described her as “doing more for students than the average principal. She cares about our kids on more than just an academic level.” The parent of a third- and fourth-grader stated, “She doesn’t just say every kid matters, she truly makes sure that is the case.”

A parent fairly new to the school states, “Her true love for all kids is what stands out to me. She wants to reach each one. Every boy and girl has eternal value to her. As a parent, she is so encouraging. I completely trust her with my children; she has their best interests in mind always.”

A parent who just moved to the Cutter Morning Star district says, “After meeting Mrs. Gibson, I was immediately inspired by her energy and positivity. She had such a kind and welcoming way about her that I immediately felt as if I was part of the Cutter family. She is willing to do whatever it takes to reach each child’s full potential.”

A parent of a fifth-grader says, “She has so much compassion for the children and teachers. She goes way beyond what most principals do to make sure our school is a great place.” Another parent said, “She has the heart and actions to change the world to be a better place, one child at a time.”

We were overwhelmed by the amount of parents that had come forward to express their love and appreciation for Mrs. Gibson. Because of this, we felt it was necessary to share this gratitude with the community. We look forward to the 2017-18 school year and all the amazement, wonder and learning it will bring!
